#285 - Love Hate x BKK
Last week today, ET and I were happily roaming about in JJ market.
And today now, I am doing up this travelogue with a cuppa of TWG tea.

Nevertheless, the 4 days at BKK was full of surprises everyday. Instead of a shopping trip, it somehow became a.... ...rather unusual BKK trip from previous. We were rather relax and not so into the hardcore shopping. As we all know, going to Platinum Mall is a routine and is A MUST but we spent 3 days there window-shopped, basically just seeing the nice beautiful clothings more than buying.
We spent lotsa on eating this trip, all our high teas are not cheap!!

DAY 1 -
Unusual sight at immigration counter. NOBODY ahh!!
Upon checking into Baiyoke Sky, we went Platinum Mall for breakfast (again; because we already had taken breakfast in Sg before boarding), walked around before heading down to JJ market before the afternoon sun.
I always eat the same thing at Platinum mall.
Reason being, I dont take beef and pork and I cannot accept their chinese food there because it's too much of Thai Style in it. The above is called Sukiya Seafood. Basically just seafood with lotsa veges and glass noodles. And besides I was still nursing from gastric at that point. I was down with sudden gastric upset that I had vomitted like nobody's biz the day before. Thank god I was OK the next day.
1st thing to do upon reaching JJ market was to eat this:

No.. I still lub you na but only lub you on weekends and in JJ market ka. Hahahaa!!
We did not stayed long in JJ market because it's very hot and nothing much to buy. We decided to head back to town, as usual bargaining war with those bad taxi uncles and got thrown out upon reaching Platinum Mall.

Platinum Mall was just so near yet so far ahead of us and he thrown us out somewhere and told us to walk there ourselves. Both of us is QI DAO~!!!

Next we did was eat again after getting our prepaid cards.

We chanced upon this pretty cafe at Central World and decided to rest our feet and comfort our tummy (again!)

Back to hotel, check-in, rested fer awhile, wasted no time and out we go again.
Getting a cheap 200baht foot, head/neck/shoulder massage in order to walk a long route.
Haha!
We checked out this new happening place - Asiatique.
I like!
We went there for 2 nights.

The whole interior and architecture of the buildings does not feels like we are in BKK at all.

We spent majority our time shopping in Siam area and is also where we spent most of our $$!!

DAY 4 -
Despite we are entitled to late check-out but time zoomed damn fast that day because somehow we got too relax for the past 3 days that we are pretty behind schedule that there are still some stuffs left unchecked on our shopping list.

And ya!! This time, we got thrown out by the bloody tuk-tuk rider! Damnn shite!
Pls remember that there is no free lunch in this world or any good-die stuffs.
This fcuker offered 20 bahts to send us to MBK but on the condition that we have to go to those stupid "broad-daylight" chop people shop to get some stupid gas coupon for him.
And ya!! This time, we got thrown out by the bloody tuk-tuk rider! Damnn shite!

I offered 50baht to him saying that we do not wanna go anywhere instead of MBK only. But he left us with no choice, neither we can get down. Fine! We take it as doing some good deed.. we went, and in the end we still got thrown out for no reason and best is HE DID NOT TAKE A SINGLE CENT FROM US!
Seriously, dunno what those people are thinking?! Instead of working hard for it, they rather take it on the tourist and get freebie. Haish!

BKK is a nice place to go minus all the bargaining and touting taxi drivers whom can really make your day!

We conclude that somehow we are psyched. We really need that kinda stess so that we will and can shop. Somehow, we also dunno why do we have to act like that but yah... ...
Every nite before heading to bed, both of us will analyze and conclude on our buys. We will discuss on how come and why our buys are like this and if did we missed out any thing nice pieces which we did not buy. But no lehh.. ... we went back each time without regret or without saying that there is a need to go back to any shop to grab anything.

Anyway, we had our fun, its time to work hard again!
